Iris Dukatt is an emerging queer independent theatre / filmmaker. Currently Iris is in the post-production for her short film Long Pork and scheming up feature scripts. Recent directing credits include: Long Pork, MYTHICC, Strangers (MV), Heights (MV), Feet Stuff (MV), Pretty Girls Don’t Light Their Own Cigarettes, part of HOT! Festival at Dixon Place 2019, If You Give A Kid A Sucker, and both mainstages Grounded and Red at The Unit 14 Theatre Company.
Independent producing from a young age, they co-founded The Unit 14 Theatre Company outside of Chicago. Their work at Unit 14 has been featured in The Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, and WGN radio. Most recently, Iris worked as an Associate Producer on the short film GAPS (Tribeca FF 2023).
As an assistant, Iris has supported director Jenn Shaw and worked as a talent assistant for both Apple TV’s upcoming Feature release Echo Valley and HBO’s limited series White House Plumbers. They are a proud member of Film Shop’s Brooklyn Chapter, an alumni of SDC’s Observership program and received their undergraduate degree from NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
