The Play:
A new play by Joshua Conkel; Emory is an effeminate 11-year old living in rural America on a chicken farm with his chain-smoking Nana. He’s best friends with a chicken about to be processed. Emory passes his time daydreaming of fame and practicing his baton twirling. His Nana wishes he’d be more like Elliot; the tough and athletic boy down the road. But Emory and Elliot have a relationship; one that Emory’s Nana would not approve if she found out. Milk Milk Lemonade is a sick comedy exploring gender, sexuality, mortality, and the human body.
